Alonissos Challenge 2026: running, swimming and aquathlon
The 19th Alonissos Challenge is scheduled for the weekend of 5–6 September 2026. Saturday at Chrysi Milia features aquathlon and open-water swimming, while Sunday at Patitiri features running races. The official bilingual page is accessible, but one distance field requires organiser clarification.
Saturday, 5 September at Chrysi Milia
All three events start and finish at Chrysi Milia Beach. Aquathlon remains a separate category from open-water swimming.
- Junior Swim Challenge 150 m — 16:45
- Aquathlon 65: 1.5 km swim + 5 km run — 17:00
- Golden & Silver Swim Challenge — 17:10
Sunday, 6 September at Patitiri
The running races start and finish at Patitiri. Bib2Bib does not store route descriptions or changeable race-day logistics as permanent facts.
- Alonissos Challenge 20K — 08:00
- Mini Challenge 10K — 08:00
- Kids City Run 2K — 11:00
- Junior Port Run 600 m — 11:15
Unresolved conflict in the swim distances
The official page labels the races as one mile and half a mile. Its course description, however, states two 926 m laps for Golden and one 926 m lap for Silver.
Those statements are not mathematically consistent with one mile and half a mile. Until the organiser clarifies them, the listing should retain both wordings and avoid inventing one final distance.
What requires a new check
